I’m very excited to play with my brother, Mr. Riley Bandy, III, and my brother from a different mother, Jaz Sawyer. This will be a wonderful evening of hot jazz and love, and hope you can make it out.
Riley and I have know Jaz since we went to school together at Herbert Hoover Middle School in San Francisco, and have been playing together since then. Yes, it’s been a quick minute, and time has flown!
Some of my favorite memories of us playing together was when we were teenagers and gigging at the old Rassella’s Jazz Club, in San Francisco, when it was over on Divisidero and California Streets. We were all in high school! and packing the place. Since then, we’ve all gone off to college, and on to our own musical careers, taking us all over the globe. This evening is to celebrate this long lasting collaboration and friendship, and I’m so looking forward to it.
