Hypnotic melodies, ancient rhythms, soulful funk, and a voice that will melt you out of your skin, is the music of Allegra Bandy.  Allegra Bandy has been writing and performing music that challenges social and societal norms, as well as music that inspires self-expression, self-preservation and transformation.

Allegra Bandy performs as a vocalist, bandleader, composer, conductor, movie/play score composer, actress, voice over actress and educator and is one of the most exciting voices on the scene!

She has performed with some of the best Jazz, Latin, Rock, Country and Western, and R&B musicians in the SF Bay Area and New York, including Narada Michael Walden, Claytoven Richardson, John Handy, Dee Spencer, Scott Larson, Riley T. Bandy III, Wayne Wallace, Marcus Shelby, Jaz Sawyer, Geechi Taylor, David Ewell, John Calloway, John Santos, Matt Clark, Daryl Green, Howard Wiley, Marc and The Casuals, Bob Reed, Paula Frazier, and Jameo Brown.  

In the late 1990’s, she has collaborated with the infamous Veronica Combs (Producer and performing artist) and Liquid Fire Productions for live vocal performances, live show music direction, and vocal coaching.

Home based in Oakland, CA, as well as a native of San Francisco, CA, Allegra Bandy has been performing mostly Jazz, R & B, soul, Latin, Classical, Renaissance, 20th Century and Medieval music in the San Francisco Bay Area, the California Coast, and New York City at various venues such as Local Edition (SF, CA), The Rite Spot (SF, CA), Club Deluxe (SF), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (SF), Intersection for the Arts (SF), Yoshi’s (Oakland, CA), Yoshi’s (SF, CA), Maxwell’s Lounge (Oakland, CA), Rassela’s Jazz Club ( SF), Grant and Green (SF) The Black Cat (SF), Jazz at Pearls (SF), Nectar Stage – Pride Celebration 2005 (SF), The Blue Note (New York), Cleopatra’s Needle (NYC), The Up/Over (NYC), Zellerbach Hall (Berkeley, CA), The Starry Plough (Berkeley, CA), Grace Cathedral (SF), The Chapel (SF) and Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. (Half Moon Bay, CA).

She started her record label, ODDUA RECORDS, with her business partner, Heather Licini, in January, 2006. ODDUA RECORDS was an independent recording label which supports and produces Bay Area talents of exclusively World, Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, and Fusion musical genres. ODDUA RECORDS released its first cd, “Sunday Juice,” in April, 2006 under the ensemble name Oddua, creating within its compositions a new genre of music called “World Soul”©.

In 2011, she closed Oddua Records, and started ODDUA PRODUCTIONS, a multimedia production company.  Oddua Productions currently focuses on mostly audio content production, including audio books, music, sound design, video post-production, front end web production and management, and voice over narration.
